Can anyone help me out here? I need to know how the licensing system works.. Here's the story (long)
In 2011 my SC DL was suspended, because I forgot to pay a traffic fine. In response, i surrendered it and it was shredded. 5 days later, I paid the reinstatement and got a new license from Florida, where I was stationed, on December 18 2011. I had to have a clear license in order to get a new one.... A few months later, I paid off more traffic fines (oct 2012) for the court cost I had, meaning my license was clear and no points given. While I was in Florida, I got another ticket for an improper stop (bullshit) and I paid it off and reinstated my DL yet again in oct2013. Can someone tell me why SC is still saying my SC DL is suspended, when I don't even have it anymore?? I looked online and it's saying my DL is clear in all 50 states. SCDMV is saying I owe 3 REINSTATEMENT fees as well as tickets I paid for 2 years ago, under a DL number that's not even valid.

You're in/were in the service? That will make things easier.

Do you have proof that you paid it off? That will also help. Call the state DMV and tell them your situation, that you paid it off, and are just trying to get it clear since you no longer live there. Definitely mention that you are/were in the service at the time.

You might get it cleared immediately. I know this is pulling favors, but you need to use whatever you can to get clear when you're dealing with the DMV.

Definitely will do, especially since this "suspension" took place while I was deployed. But then again this is South Carolina, and these tools made me spend my New Years in a jail cell.
